Chaos Shredder makes you forget the problem of Windows not completely physically deleting all traces of files from your hard drive, not even when you empty the waste bin. This is because when you delete a file from your hard drive, what Windows does is mark in a table that's it's been deleted, but in reality some of the data stays physically on the disc, which can be recovered even after re-formatting. This way others could discover your passwords, financial documents, etc, compromizing your privacy and security.

Chaos Shredder completely deletes all physical traces of data from your PC, as it over-writes that area of the drive many times with random data. That way Chaos Shredder makes recovery impossible once you've deleted it from your system, either by using hardware or software.
